Travis Thompson is owner of Motorwërks Autogroup.

Travis Thompson has been employed by Motorwërks for 10 years. He started as a Service Writer in 2009, working his way to becoming the owner. Travis has been immersed in the automotive industry long before he had his own set of wheels, and has embraced the philosophy “choose a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life”. Travis took every automotive class available to him in high school and continued honing his skills with his own vehicles as a hobby.

Travis is highly regarded by many of his clients and takes pride in their satisfaction. He will not hesitate to go out of his way to make sure a client's needs have been met. After acquiring Motorwërks in 2017, Travis' goal is to continue growing client satisfaction and inspire confidence for clients to return to Motorwërks.

He continues to grow the business through purchasing the latest diagnostic tools and equipment as well as researching new models and investing in continual technician training so that clients are offered top of the line service using the most up to date technology.

What is your labor rate?

Our current* labor rate is $115 per hour.

We do charge an initial diagnosis fee of 1 hour in most cases, please call for further details and to set up your next appointment.

What makes your tire and balancing services different?

We have been known for years for providing the best in wheel and tire care in the Houston area. Our equipment is designed to handle up to 22" wheels.

Our Corghi ARTIGLIO 50 Touchless Tire Changer will ensure no metal surface comes in contact your wheels to prevent any scratches.

In order to ensure a quality wheel balance on your vehicle, we have a Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Balancer capable of applying up to 800 pounds of road force onto the assembly ensuring a balance 2nd to none.

To make sure that the wear pattern on your new tires are correct, we have a Hunter WinAlign WA480 flush mounted alignment rack to allow for low ground clearance vehicles without risk of bumper damage. The Hunter QuickGrip Adapters feature spring-loaded arms that grip the tire, eliminating metal-to-metal contact and subsequent rim damage. 

Do you offer pick up and drop off service?

We provide complimentary drop off services within a 10 mile radius through Uber. 

Will you honor my extended warranty?

In most cases we are happy to work with your extended warranty plan. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Do you offer a warranty on your repairs?

We believe that standing behind our work is key to building long-term relationships with our clients. That's why we offer a minimum 12-month/Unlimited mile warranty on our services when all recommended repairs are completed. This is not applicable for upgrades where parts are supplied by the client.

Do I have to use the dealer for repairs and maintenance to keep my Warranty in effect?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, says no. In fact, it's illegal for a dealer to deny your warranty coverage simply because you had routine maintenance or repairs performed by someone else.

What does "Bosch certified" mean?

Bosch Car Service centers are the very best of independently-owned service centers. To qualify for membership, each service center must pass a rigorous certification process, based on technical skill, customer service and facility design and appearance. An outside company inspects each service center individually, using both pre-arranged audits and surprise inspections and must maintain the highest levels of technical ability and customer satisfaction.
